Video of Us

We realize that to be a truely sick kayak website and show you how awesome we really are, we need to show you some video. Below are several video clips. Watch them. Be impressed.
US freestyle team trials
It's been a while since my last update.  I've been pretty busy getting ready for US freestyle team trials, which happened on wednesday.  To make a long story short, I made the team in OC-1, and came close in C-1.  For the long story, read on...

The Insanity Continues + Colorado video
Normally when I head home from out west in the summer, I really enjoy sitting on my parent's patio, putting my feet up, playing with my dog, and debating whether or not I should drive to the Upper Yough on Friday.  I'm back east now, but that definately hasn't happened.  So it's been 3 weeks since my last update- things have been crazy.  I've been all over the place.  I realized the other day that I left home on May 15th, and since then, there have only been 3 days that I haven't gotten in a boat.  Here's what's been going on.

Video from the Nile Special
After wading through about 10 hours of video tape, I put together a couple short videos from Nile Special for all the CR fans out there to enjoy. In the theme of shameless self promotion, hype, and egotism, the first one is a 4 minute video of me blunting, backstabing, spinning, and airscrewing my little Pyranha boat all over the wave. I'm posting it in 3 bandwidth/quality options (you'll need Quicktime 7 for all three):

4-Twenty video Small file (3.1mb)
4-Twenty Video Larger file (9.1mb)
4-Twenty Video Podcast (24.6mb)

The last version of the file is optimized for your video Ipod, should you have one. I decided to be tech savvy and feel self important enough to believe that someone else would actually want to have a video of me on their Ipod. Well, that and I figured I could use some more stuff to put on my own Ipod, since it holds as much as the hard drive in my computer....

The second video, just to prove that I'm not really that egotistical, is basically a parody of the first one, but is just as cool. It's what happens when a bunch of pro paddlers get bored, the water's low, and there are some Dancers around.

That's right. Dancers on Nile Special, featuring Clay Wright, Eric Jackson, Nick Troutman, and yours truely, Jeremy Laucks. I've only got two versions of this one, omitting the Podcast verison, since I know you all are going to use up all of my bandwidth for this month anyway and I'll have to buy more...

Rodeo is dead... or is it? Those who made it to the NAWF would certainly say rodeo is alive and well.
