Pleasant Surprise
Quality:

Levels:
7.5-9.5ft
Location: Downstream of
the bridge, kind of in the middle (look at the map)
Getting There: Head
downstream from Playspot or Playspot II, heading slightly left.
The "channel" Pleasant Surprise is in is poorly defined, but
breaks diagonally left across the river.
Eddy service: Good
Skill Level: Intermediate
Description: Three spots
to mention. A nice wave know as "Sweet Delight" forms at higher
flows (~9ft) with a
fair sized eddy on river (don't take too long to roll up or you might
miss it). At lower flows, the wave is still surfable, but not as
exciting. Downstream an on the other side of the channel is a
pourover that gives up loops and lefty ends, and comes in at lower
levels. Continuing down and left, on the other side of the rock
is a small hole good for spins and low angle ends, also good at lower
levels. There are various other pourover holes of varying quality and
depth, forming at various levels at the bottom right as well.
