Playspot

Quality:
Levels:6-7.5 ft
Location: River left in the main channel, downstream from the lower break.
Getting There:  Ferry across to the left side of the Main Channel and head downstream.  From Storm or Rumble Pit, carry or attain through the lower break and head downstream.
Eddy service:  Good
Skill Level: Intermediate
Description:  Playspot consists of two waves, each about 3 feet.  The upper wave isn't very steep and can be hard to catch, though can give up some good spins and endless frontsurfs. At a prime level, a nice foampile forms on the surfer's right of the lower wave, good for cartwheels and big loops, and also has a nice shoulder for left blunts. Many people have gotten their first loops here, but be aware of plugging your bow in too deep, as the rock is fairly shallow. At higher water, this foampile washes out and one forms on the surfer's left side of the wave.
If you don't want to continue downstream from Playspot, it's best to carry back up to the Lower Break before attaining back up to the Put-in or ferrying across.  From the lower break, you can also attain/carry up the Center Channel to Storm Hole.
