I got to spend Friday, Saturday, and Sunday surfing at Holtwood. It's not often that da 'Wood runs in July, so it was a pretty nice treat to get out and throw down in warm water. The water levels were changing a lot all three days, but there were basically no lines, and we got to hit Storm Hole both at a higher level wave mode, and at a lower cartwheel hole level.
The wineberries and blackberries along the trail down the the rivere were also ripe...mmmmm. It's a tough life to beat.
In other news, the 434's checked in and reported that they were going big at the Potomac on Saturday, running the falls and playing.
